The Company Secretary (CS) qualification is one of India’s premier professional credentials in corporate governance, secretarial practice, and compliance. The path to becoming a Certified Company Secretary is overseen by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), and 2026 brings key examination opportunities that every aspirant must plan for well in advance.

CSEET 2026 Scheduled Dates

The Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is the entry-level exam that aspiring company secretaries must clear before enrolling in the CS Executive Programme.

CSEET June 2026 Exam: June 1 – June 4, 2026. The examination will be conducted in the afternoon session, with papers running generally from 2:30 PM to 5:45 PM on June 1–3, and 2:30 PM to about 4:45 PM on June 4. 15 minutes extra reading time is provided before each session.

Enrollment (without late fee): March 1 – April 7, 2026
Enrollment (with late fee): April 8 – April 20, 2026
Last date (normal registration): February 15, 2026

CSEET is a gateway exam that tests foundation subjects like Business Communication, Accounting Basics, Economics & Business Environment, and Business Laws. Passing this test is mandatory before you can register for the CS Executive Programme.

CS Executive & CS Professional June 2026 Session

For candidates already through CSEET and enrolled in the CS Executive or CS Professional programmes, the June 2026 session is the major exam opportunity.

Executive & Professional Programme Exams:

Exam Dates: June 1 – June 7, 2026
Exam Timing: 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM (with 09:00–09:15 AM reading time) for all papers.
Reserve Dates: June 8, 9 & 10, 2026 for any scheduling exigencies.

These exams will be conducted under the 2022 syllabus and cover both CS Executive and Professional modules.

Executive Programme (Sample Dates)

June 1: Jurisprudence, Interpretation and General Laws
June 2: Capital Market and Securities Laws
June 3: Company Law and Practice
June 4: Economic, Commercial & Intellectual Property Laws
June 5–7: Remaining papers including labour laws, tax laws & corporate accounting.

Professional Programme (Sample Dates)

Core and elective papers spread from June 1 to June 7, including:

Admit Cards & Results

Admit cards for CSEET and CS main exams are usually released a few weeks before the exam date.
CSEET results for January 2026 were declared on January 20, 2026 — indicating the institute’s commitment to timely result announcements.

Key Eligibility and Restructuring

From June 2026, ICSI has introduced a restructured CSEET format to better align with corporate and regulatory developments — though eligibility criteria remain mostly consistent.

Training & Pre-Exam Requirements
